ObservaçõesAt first I thought it was a plane coming into Luton Airport, as it was on a similar heading but going in the opposite direction to landing this evening. The light was significantly brighter than the landing lights of planes (maybe about 4x) which caused me look up whereby I saw it transit across the sky at about the same rate a plane would, when directly overhead, at landing altitude into Luton--you maybe able to calculate this with the geographic data I've provided. Unfortunately for me, because I was expecting it to be a plane, it appeared like a small-near-object-travelling-fairly-fast, and not a large-object-at-a-distance-travelling-very-fast so I'm 1) not entirely sure it was a meteor, 2) disappointed I didn't see it for what it was (if it was a meteor) though the experience was still rather thrilling itself due to the brightness and speed--it took me by surprise! I'd love to hear if there were any more sightings that corroborate what I think I saw.
